Hi, I’m Keitumetse – a passionate plant-based home cook, wellness enthusiast, wife, mama of two beautiful girls, and founder of Garden Grub. This space is more than a food blog, it’s a love letter to legacy, healing, and nourishment.

Garden Grub is a dedication to my late grandmother, Ntombizodwa Violet Qinisa-Makhaza – my loving nkgono who raised me from a young age, much like the age my daughters are now. Though she didn’t have much, she poured everything she had into making sure I was always fed, always loved, always nurtured. I was a picky-eater and sometimes very naughty, but she never let me go hungry – even if it meant a few beatings nge vaidukhwe e manzi and a lot of scoldings along the way.

Her food was magic. Her love, even more so.
This is for you, nkgono. May your soul continue to Rest in Peace. I miss you deeply, and through this blog, I carry your spirit forward, your warmth, your creativity, your yummy nourishment. I hope to make you proud in every post, every meal, and every plate that carries your love through mine.

Along the way, I have also met people who have come to me seeking help – individuals navigating health scares, chronic illnesses, and the deep desire to change how they eat and live. Many of them have asked for guidance, support, and simple, joyful food that can honour their health and their bodies.
